1. About this Policy
StudyBank – Study Savings – (the “App”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles data, including collection, use, sharing, storage/retention, and your choices.

2. Information We Collect
The App does not require account registration, and we do not send your study data to our own external servers.
Study-related data is stored locally on your device (e.g., via UserDefaults).
You may optionally enter a username for virtual cards, notifications, motivational messages, and “fortune” effects. This username is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
How we handle images in the Reward feature
In the Reward feature, the App may allow you to select a photo from your library or take a new photo. The selected or captured image is imported and saved locally on your device (within the App’s sandbox storage) and is used only for displaying your rewards inside the App. These images are not transmitted to any external server, including our servers.
Data stored on your device (not sent to our servers)
- Study start/stop times, study duration, and daily totals
- Username displayed on virtual cards (including insertion into messages/notifications)
- App settings (Pomodoro settings, notification schedule/frequency, sound effects, etc.)
- Earnings per session, cumulative totals, and card rank information
- Reward store purchase history and internal flags related to UI/animations
- “Fortune” (virtual fortune) run history/results and multipliers (including timestamps used for daily reset)
- Reward images you import or capture (saved locally on your device)
Note: Local data is removed from your device if you delete the App or use in-app reset features.
Collection by Third-Party SDKs (Ads & Analytics)
The App integrates Google AdMob (Google LLC) to deliver ads. AdMob may collect information necessary for ad delivery, measurement, frequency capping, fraud prevention, and security.
The App also uses Firebase Analytics (Google LLC) to understand usage and improve the App. Firebase Analytics may collect usage information (for example: app launches, screen views, and interaction/event statistics). This information is used to improve the App.

- Device information, IP address, and information related to ad impressions/clicks
- Consent status required under regional laws (e.g., EEA/UK)

- App usage (e.g., launches, screen views, interaction events, session information)
- General technical device information (e.g., OS version, device model)
Important: The App shows non-personalized ads (NPA) only. The App does not use IDFA and does not display an App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission prompt.

3. In-App Purchases
The App offers in-app purchases to enhance features and user experience.
Offered purchase item
- Remove Ads (Permanent): A one-time non-consumable purchase (JPY 480). After purchase, ads in the App (including banner and interstitial ads) are not shown.
Purchase and Restore
- If you reinstall the App or change devices using the same Apple ID, you may be able to restore purchases using the “Restore Purchases” feature.
- You can run “Restore Purchases” from the App’s settings screen (or equivalent in-app location).
Payment Information
- Payments are processed by Apple’s in-app purchase system.
- We do not collect or store payment information such as credit card numbers.
Refunds / Cancellations
If a purchase is refunded, canceled, or invalidated, the related benefit (e.g., ad removal) may become unavailable. Refunds and purchase management are generally handled through Apple’s processes.
4. How We Use Your Username
The username you enter is used only on your device for:
- Virtual cards and rank display
- Insertion into motivational messages and reward effects
- Insertion into local notification text (reminders, re-engagement prompts)
- Displaying “fortune” (virtual fortune) results
Your username is not transmitted to our servers. Notification customization is handled locally based on your device/app settings.
5. Purposes of Use
- Providing core App functionality (tracking, history, rank, reward store, “fortune”, etc.)
- Delivering local notifications (study reminders, re-engagement prompts)
- Ad delivery and measurement (frequency capping, fraud prevention, etc. via AdMob)
- Usage analysis and App improvement (Firebase Analytics)
- Providing in-app purchases, reflecting purchase status, and restoring purchases
- Legal compliance and security
6. Notifications
- The App uses local notifications. Notification content (including username insertion) is generated on your device.
- You can change reminder time/frequency in the App. You can also allow/deny notifications in iOS settings.
- “Fortune” effects and wage multipliers reset daily based on your device’s local date (timezone is your device setting).
8. Legal Bases (EEA/UK)
- Contract performance: providing core App features
- Consent: where required for ad storage/measurement under regional law (ads are non-personalized)
- Legitimate interests: minimal processing for fraud prevention, security, and improving the App (including analytics)
9. Data Retention
- Local (on-device) data: until you delete it (by deleting the App or using in-app reset features)
- Ads/analytics-related data: governed by Google’s settings and policies
10. Security
Local data is protected by platform-standard safeguards (e.g., OS sandboxing). We cannot guarantee absolute security for data processed over the Internet or by third-party services.
11. International Data Transfers
Advertising and analytics providers (Google) may process data on servers located outside your country/region. See their policies for details.
12. Your Rights and Choices
- You can delete history and reset totals from in-app settings.
- You can manage notifications via in-app reminder settings and iOS notification settings.
- You can edit your username at any time (it will update displays/notifications).

13. Children
The App is suitable for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Study data and the optional username you enter are stored locally on your device and are not sent to our servers.
The App may include third-party SDKs (such as Google AdMob and Firebase Analytics) that collect certain information as described in this Policy. Where required by law, we request consent for applicable data processing (for example, in the EEA/UK).

14. What We Do Not Do
- Collect or use IDFA
- Cross-app tracking (combining with other companies’ data for tracking purposes)
- Collect precise location data

We may update this Policy from time to time. If there are material changes, we will notify you in the App or on this page. Please check the Last updated date at the top.
